Take a break

Last week I was able to step away from the computer for a few days and have a break.  It was very nice to spend time with my son and my parents.

But it was a little different sleeping in a swag and travelling with a caravan.  There are different things you have to remember when you are driving with a caravan and how to set it up correctly when you get to your destination.  It was wonderful to have some of the comforts of home but still being able to experience nature. (I think they call it glamping?)

During the time away, I took some lovely photos of nature and will share some with you over the next few days (look out for my Insta stories).

A special activity that we were able to do was to visit a wildlife park.  As soon as we entered the walking trail, we were greeted by a friendly kangaroo.

As you can see from the picture below, it is certainly used to people.

Then we were on a mission to find another very special Australian animal.  This animal has been a favourite of mine since I was a small child as I was given a soft toy as a baby.  I also used to watch a cartoon series about this animal, it was an adventurous and mischievous koala called Blinky Bill.  Well, last Thursday I was able to get up close to and pat a koala!  The koala’s fur was so soft and fluffy.  Due to covid restrictions I wasn’t able to spend a lot of time with the koala, but I was able to get a few photos! Check them out below.

I can certainly relate to the koala as they spend most of their days either eating or sleeping!

One of the other things I was able to do while away was to meet some people I had only met a few months ago while completing an online business planning course.  It was wonderful to see their work spaces, their businesses in full swing and them enjoying it!

It was clear that the key to making something successful is to have passion.  If you have a passion, you will be more likely to continue working for it, even on the tough days.  But sometimes we have to step out of our comfort zone first and experience new things.  Once you get over the fear, it opens up a whole new world.

Be bold and do one thing that scares you!  Let me know how you go.
